Design of the Cake:
Sheryl’s Cake Studio cannot replicate another cake artist’s work precisely but will strive to create a design similar to the desired one.
It’s important to be aware that, to achieve specific designs or colors, Sheryl’s Cake Studio may use a variety of non-toxic materials such as metallic sprinkles, acrylic, card stock toppers, rose gold, silver, gold, colorful foil/metallic finishing spray(s), disco glitters, ribbons, and gems. Please note that inedible decorations are not meant to be consumed.
The Client is responsible for pointing out all inedible decorations to their guests.
The Client is responsible for purchasing flowers for cake decoration and is advised to make selections in consultation with their florist.
The Client's florist holds the responsibility of ensuring that the chosen flowers and foliage are safe for placement on an edible cake. This includes verifying that the materials are free from any chemicals or toxins, preventing the risk of chemical ingestion and/or poisoning for the guests.
The florist is required to deliver the flowers to the venue at least 2 hours before the event, allowing Sheryl’s Cake Studio sufficient time to arrange them on the cake.
Flowers may only be placed on the cake by Sheryl’s Cake Studio, and under no circumstances is the florist or any other person permitted to do so.
Any order featuring florals (both fresh and silk) will be secured with floral tape or placed on a short skewer to ensure food safety, unless food-safe flowers are utilized.
For all cakes, excluding heart cakes, plastic or wooden cake dowels are inserted within the cake for support, providing structural stability and managing the cake's weight. It's important to note that these dowels are not edible. Our cakes are not designed for face-smashing, except for 6-inch heart cakes.
Any ornament or cake topper must be provided to Sheryl’s Cake Studio by the final payment date, which is fourteen (14) days before the reception. If Sheryl’s Cake Studio is tasked with providing the ornament or cake topper, the cost will be included in the final payment amount.
It is important to note that Sheryl’s Cake Studio does not create cakes that promote hate, discrimination, drugs, explicit language, or x-rated body parts.

The client assumes responsibility for the proper storage of the cake following pickup or delivery. Sheryl’s Cake Studio is not accountable for issues such as melting, cracking, bulging, or mishaps if the cake is not stored appropriately. To maintain freshness, it is advised to refrigerate the cake and bring it to room temperature 20-30 minutes before serving. Avoid leaving the cake in a room exceeding 70 degrees.
Set up:
The client is responsible for ensuring a sturdy, flat, and level display surface, away from heat, capable of supporting the cake's weight without wobbling, leaning, tilting, collapsing, or vibrating.
Additionally, the cake table should be positioned and fully decorated (including tablecloth, skirt, lights, etc.) prior to the cake's delivery.
Ensure the cake is positioned away from any known heat sources, including central heating vents, radiators, portable heaters, clustered candle displays, high-intensity lights, and direct sunlight through openings like windows or doors.
Select a display area unaffected by vibrations from any source, such as proximity to the dance floor, loudspeakers, or high-traffic zones.
If outdoors, it is highly recommended to keep the cake indoors for as long as possible. Choose a location shielded from wind, sun, and potential objects that may dislodge or damage the cake. Ensure the cake table is placed on a solid, immobile surface rather than bare ground.
The client is also responsible for confirming the availability and openness of the reception venue for setup before the scheduled delivery time.
After setup is complete and has been signed-off by the Client or the Client’s representative, Sheryl’s Cake Studio is not liable for any damage to the cake, including total collapse, which may occur as result of the actions of anyone present, any member of the bridal party, immediate family, relatives, guests (both adults and children), the photographer, the videographer, any performers (live or DJ), wait staff, and any and all other persons, who disturb or damage the cake by any means including, but not limited to: poking, touching, bumping the cake or the table/display stand/surface on which the cake is displayed, causing vibrations, exposing the cake to heat sources, exposing the cake to the sun and/or wind, and/or moving the cake to a different location or display area.
Once cake has been delivered and assembled, SCS is not liable for any damage including, but not limited to, cake spoilage or icing melting off the cake that may occur as a result of high temperatures, weather conditions, failure of the Client to provide a temperature-controlled environment at the appointed location, and/or failure to properly store and display the cake
